Throw children down

Baba Umar's shrine in Solapur, Maharashtra has a very strange tradition. Here Hindus and Muslims throw their children from a height of about 50 feet and the people standing below hold them with a sheet. They believe that by doing this, the health and body of children are strengthened. This tradition has been going on for more than 700 years.
